Juventud Rising: Student Summit is a college access, career exploration, and leadership development event that welcomes local high school students to West Valley College for a day of learning, connection, and empowerment.

Through interactive workshops, student panels, keynote presentations, and engagement with campus resources, participants explore pathways to higher education, gain exposure to career opportunities, and develop the skills needed to achieve their academic and professional goals.

This year's summit will place a special emphasis on career exploration, helping students connect their interests and strengths to future educational and workforce pathways. The summit also provides an opportunity for students to build community, connect with peers and mentors, and envision their future as college students, professionals, and leaders.

The High School Partners Breakfast is an annual relationship-building event that brings together high school counselors, administrators, partners, and West Valley College faculty and staff to strengthen partnerships that support student access and success.

The event provides an opportunity to share institutional updates, enrollment information, student support resources, and collaborative initiatives while recognizing the vital role high school partners play in preparing students for college.

Through networking, dialogue, and information sharing, this breakfast helps foster meaningful connections and aligns efforts to support students' successful transition from high school to West Valley College.

The High School Partners Breakfast was formerly known as the Counselor Breakfast.
